The Foodlink Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals daily for students in the City of Rochester. During the school year, the meals are delivered to many grab-and-go or after-school programs. During July and August, the meals are delivered to dozens of Summer Meals sites.
Date & Time: Monday-Friday, 12pm-3pm
General Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years or older and wear closed-toed shoes. It is also encouraged that you wear a jacket or light sweater. Our Community Kitchen is chilly
Food Safety Requirements: Volunteers must avoid wearing torn/dirty clothing, long/painted fingernails, fake lashes, and jewelry when participating in this project. Piercing/open or bleeding wounds must be covered.
Physical Intensity: The physical intensity of this project is considered high and will involve walking, standing, twisting, bending, lifting( items up to 50lbs) continuously throughout the shift. Tasks are often repetitive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
