After a 16-month hiatus, Foodlink’s nutrition educators returned to the Public Market in July to offer free recipe demonstrations and nutrition lessons.
The demonstrations take place each Thursday at 9 and 10 a.m. inside the B Shed.
Each session takes approximately 20 minutes, and guests are offered samples of the prepared recipe, which often focus on seasonal fruits and vegetables that can be purchased inexpensively at the market. The market’s Nutrition Education Center was built and opened in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic forced Foodlink to pause many of its public-facing programs in March of 2020.
Sign-ups are not required to attend a demonstration. Simply show up before each scheduled event and enjoy!
(Note: The demonstrations will not take place on Aug. 5, but will resume the following week.)
