Growing a partnership with Foodlink & the RTS Worksite Wellness Program

The Curbside Market is a market on wheels that links communities in the Rochester area to fresh, affordable food. As Curbside Market continues to grow its outreach, it is making larger attempts to expand and help more people gain access to fresh and affordable food.

Since 2017, Foodlink has partner with Rochester Transit Service (RTS) to support its worksite wellness program. Recently, Foodlink’s Curbside Market teamed up with RTS to deliver Fresh Picks boxes every-other week for 3 months to staff participating in RTS worksite wellness program at 3 RTS locations. Each Fresh Picks box includes fresh fruits and veggies, pantry items, recipes, and a newsletter with simple steps to support employee’s healthy-living journey.

With the health and wellbeing of workers being more focused on, initiatives like the worksite wellness program are becoming more and more important. Worksite wellness programs are a great way to improve the health of employees, build workplace morale and reduce health care costs for employers. By partnering with Curbside Market for the Fresh Picks program, employers like RTS can support their employees by making it easier to reach their health goals.  The Curbside Market team has received a lot of positive feedback about this first pilot from our partners at RTS.  We’re excited to see our Fresh Picks program grow in years to come!
