If Music Be the Food

“If Music Be the Food …” is a series of benefit concerts that help raise awareness and support for food-insecure households in the local community through the sharing of great music. The event has spread nationwide, but has its roots in Rochester through a collaboration with the Eastman School of Music, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Third Presbyterian Church and Foodlink.

Each concert is a fully grass-roots community event involving professionals, students, and local volunteers in joyful collaboration. We are striving to address nourishment in all of its forms; our bodies need it in the form of food and our souls need it in the form of music and community!

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a donation to Foodlink or a non-perishable goods. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, recent concerts have been held virtually, with an online donation option available for people who want to contribute.
